I believe that children are our future. Their resiliency to life’s stressors and trauma never ceases to amaze me and I feel grateful working alongside them while they continue to grow. Although children are often resilient, their negative experiences can affect their future if not given opportunity to explore and grow from them. As a licensed independent social worker, I have experience working with children and adolescents who struggle with anxiety, behavioral problems, grief, adjusting to life changes such as parental divorce, and trauma. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and families through these challenges and focusing on how their strengths can be used. I specialize in Child-Parent Psychotherapy which is an evidenced-based form of therapy focused on young children that have experienced some sort of traumatic experience and could benefit from strengthening their relationship with their parent, caregiver, or foster placement. My hope is to help your child feel safe and comfortable to explore their experiences, feelings, and behaviors through play and other creative interventions to make time spent in therapy fun and meaningful!
